ROUTE 15 DAYS: ADVENTURE

Pick up at the airport and transfer to your riad in the medina (old city).

Day dedicated to visit the labyrinthine medina of Fez with a local guide speaking Spanish. We will go back in time to see the different trades that are still alive in the city.

We go towards Midelt, crossing the Middle Atlas and visit Ifrane, known as the Moroccan Switzerland for the constructions of its alpine type houses, ski place for the wealthy Moroccans and where we will see the sculpture dedicated to the last lion that inhabited the Atlas. We pass and stop in the cedar forest of Azrou, where we will see monkeys of Gibraltar. We will arrive at Khenifra, in the middle of nature we will find the married ones of Oum Er r'bia. Night in riad.

We leave soon towards Imilchil towards the lakes of Imilchil: Tislit and Islit and Lake of Aguelmane Azigza, landscapes of high mountain where you can take a bike ride. Night in riad in Imilchil.

We will arrive with the 4x4 to the starting point of our mountain trekking (suitable for all levels), the donkeys will transport our luggage until we reach the Berber house where we stayed.

Today we head towards the Todra Gorges, a magnificent rock formation with gorges of up to 300m where you can walk and cool off a bit in the river if the heat continues to squeeze. Leaving the Todra we will move away from the mountainous areas to completely change landscapes and go slowly into another jewel of Morocco, the Sahara desert. We will spend the night in a riad in Merzouga, where we will rest peacefully after the mountain.

Here begins the adventure of the desert, we enter the pink dunes on the backs of camels, we will eat picnic type prepared by a nomadic family of the desert. At dusk, we will contemplate the beautiful sunset in the desert, we will continue the dromedary trip to the haimas, where we will spend the night in the middle of the sea of dunes, we will listen to the silence and observe the stars, one of the most magical nights without a doubt.

See the sunrise in the desert is another of the activities required in this trip. After breakfast, return to the riad to take a shower before making the excursion in the area, visit camps of nomadic families of the hamada desert (volcanic stone), lead mines and if it coincides with the market day, we will visit the of Rissani, the most important of the whole area, place of provisioning of the old caravans that crossed the Sahara on the way to Tumbuctú, where we will also see the peculiar donkey parking of the market.

We leave behind the dunes to return to areas with more vegetation, that of the Draa Valley, where the river with the same name passes, the longest in the whole country, born in the High Altas and empties into the Atlantic Ocean. Visit to the best preserved kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city that has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and where many films have been filmed, such as Babel, The Last Temptation of Christ, Asterix ... Night at the riad in Ouarzazate.

We continue our route leaving behind the desert areas and the southern palm groves to enter the Middle Atlas and reach Beni Mellal, a quiet city of Berber origin where we will spend the night in a riad.

About 30 km from Beni Mellal is the lake of Bin El Ouidan where we will do this day kayak activity.

Marrakech Road we will visit the Ouzoud Waterfalls. Night in Marrakech, the so-called red city due to the reddish color of the houses built of adobe. We stayed in riad near the famous Jamaa El Fna square.

Today we will visit the Moroccan Atlantic in Essaouira, ancient Mogador conquered by the Portuguese, its medina has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Its attraction is the waves, so today it's time to surf.

We discovered a little more of Essaouira, before returning to Marrakech, to know its port, the European layout in the form of a grid of its streets. Rich city also in crafts. We will arrive in Marrakech at sunset.

Free morning to wander through the medina and make the last buy. Transfer to the airport at the indicated time. End of our services.
